FDA Registration
As of January 2011 all facilities that handle food must be registered with the FDA. Any previous registration is now expired and a re-registration must be done in order to comply with the new Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA).

If you’re importing product from Latin America or overseas this information is very important for you. FDA can place any load on detention when it arrives to USA for practically any reason leading to believe that the product can have excess of agricultural chemical on it. Once FDA has placed a detention/On-Hold a load, all of the continuing loads from the same label will be detained by default for the rest of the season unless you proceed with a formal process to remove your company from this detention without physical examination (DWPE) list AKA red list. At HMP Group we have the experience of dealing with this type of detentions and we know the process to release the loads on detention and to remove your company from this list.

Pre-Audits

If you think you’re ready for the 3rd party certification audit but you want to be safe and cover all your bases; the Pre-Audit is the best way to go, with a Pre-Audit you can identify areas of concern that can be fixed prior to the third party. On the Pre-Audit the audit report will only go you for you to work on any deficiencies detected, this way you will be a lot better prepared for the 3rd. party certification audit.
2nd. Party Audits
This service is mainly for organizations with multiple suppliers that need help and support on Supplier controls. We can perform multiple types of audits on your behalf for your Growers, packer, shippers, and cold rooms and send you a detailed report just for you. We can use the type of checklist/audit you want/need or we can develop a specific audit/checklist that will fit the operation to be audited.
